YourFormula is again partnering with ChemCYS 2016 – The Chemistry Conference for Young Scientists. The conference will take place from the 16th to 18th of March in Blankenberge (Belgium).

The conference is organised by the youth division of the Royal Flemish Chemical Society (Jong-KVCV) and they count with over 300 participants from all around the world.

The 3 day conference will give young attendees the opportunity to present early results of their research. Topics are organised in six parallel sessions, focussing on the typical research domains in chemistry. The best oral and poster presentation of each session will be awarded.

Plenary keynote lectures by world-renowned scientists are scheduled as well. Prof. dr Karin Öberg (Harvard University) and Prof. dr Bert Meijer (TU Eindhoven) will give high level lectures in the fields of astrochemistry and supramolecular chemistry, respectively. Moreover, we are very proud that Nobel Prize laureate Prof. dr Sir Harold Kroto will highlight recent advances in the field that led to his Nobel Prize in 1996.

In addition, I will be one of the four workshop speakers on the Extra Scientific Program. I will give a presentation on the 18 March on how to use social media to better communicate around scientific issues.

Let me know if you are attending and if you would like to meet during the ChemCYS. I will be very happy to meeting you and further discuss.
