About the author
The event we are really looking forward to in the coming weeks is the European Commission’s Green Week . Cleverly titled “Every drop counts”, the theme of this year’s conference is water and it will discuss how to sustainably manage and conserve this precious resource.
If you are unfamiliar with this event, it is a week-long conference organised by the European Commission where businesses and industry, NGOs, media, governments and academics congregate to discuss environmental policy, exchange experiences and share best practices.
If it is too far for you, don’t worry, we will be sending a team of our Your Formula reporters to give you a snapshot of what the event is like and to interview a range of experts on water sustainability. If there are people or NGOs you’d like us to talk to, please send us an email with your preference. Also, there will be a live feed!
Here are some of the events we are really hoping to see:
- Water and energy: exploring the links between essential resources on May 22 between 16:30 and 18:00
- The film “La Soif du monde” (A Thirsty World) by Yann Artus-Bertrand on May 22 between 16:30 and 18:00
- Towards a healthy marine environment – a vital source for life on earth on May 23 between 9:30 and 11:00
- Emerging pollutants – new challenges for science and society on May 23 between 9:30 and 11:00
If you will attend the event and want to meet up for a quick chat, we’d love to hear what your thoughts are on the various presentations and what you think of the blog. You can email me at email@example.com.
